UK health authorities worry the dispute might hinder the broad implementation of Palantir's data platform, despite efforts by Keir Starmer to accelerate it. By last summer, fewer than half of the country's health trusts had adopted the technology due to reservations from the public and medical professionals. A March 12 report by health advocacy group Medact warned Palantir's systems could facilitate "authority overreach through data", similar to US immigration enforcement actions.
